Mountain Bike World Championships - Andorra 2024

The World Mountain Bike Championships this year brought an exceptional experience not only for the riders, but also for the spectators. It was held in Andorra, which with its unique mountain scenery and technically challenging surface prepared the main competition for every rider.

The race occurs at an altitude of 1800, which in itself tested the endurance and long preparedness of all riders. I battled through everything the course brought and ended up finishing 56th. Although it wasn't easy, I have mixed feelings about this result as the circumstances weren't entirely on my side.

I unfortunately lost my water bottle on the second lap, which cost me a lot of energy for the rest of the race. At this altitude and on such difficult terrain, hydration and replenishing energy is key. Nevertheless, I tried to give my best and make it to the finish line.

Andorra showed me once again why mountain biking is one of the most challenging but also the most beautiful sports in the world. Thank you to everyone who supported me and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead! 👊🚵‍♂️
